Noelani Jones is a textile artist who creates woven works of art from wool she harvest from her own sheep. She also uses and makes natural dies for her works and takes a lot of inspiration from the environment she lives in or travels to. Jone's weavings incorporate a lot of texture into her artwork and often can be done through unconventional materials which she occasionally uses.

One aspect of her work that inspired me the most was her process of creating all her materials herself. She is committed to her process and strives to keep all of her work natural, even to the point of asking kitchen staff on one of her trips to save their leftover herbs and certain foods so that she could make them into dies since the weather outside was inhospitable towards the foliage she normally uses for that purpose.

Jones inspires me to looking into all of the aspects of creating my own work and searching out ways to explore ever aspect of creating a work of art.
