Scholastic Experience Post

I was really impressed with the works displayed at scholastics this year. Many of them displayed incredible creativity and remarkable skill which is something I cannot say for some of the past shows I have been to. One of my favorite pieces is the work above "Mechanical Ballerina" by Ashley Deeds. I saw a few sci-fi pieces in both gold and silver categories, some of which displayed similar characteristics of a design board. it actually inspired me into thinking about taking some of my projects and creating similar drawings with small notes here or their, as if it had been in someones journal.

their was also quite a few sculpture pieces that displayed sci-fi themes one of which is pictured below, "Mother" by Finn Smith. It was a much smaller piece than most of my own sculptures but I admired the intricacy of detail and the use of actual metals.

There was also another sculpture in which a heart was suspended within a rib cage and the use of suspension was interesting.
